Trina Turk 15" Macbook Sleeve Review

Most laptop bags and sleeves that I find aren't especially stylish, pretty, or unique. However, there is one laptop sleeve that has enough style to accessorize any fashionista's outfit. Trina Turk has created a bold, stylish sleeve that’s fashionable and modern. Is it as practical as it is gorgeous? Read on for my review!

The Trina Turk sleeve is available in two sizes- one for 13” Macbooks and one for the 15” Macbook Pro. Unlike sleeves designed to fit most laptops of a certain screen size, the Trina Turk sleeve is tailored specifically for Macbooks. Your Mac won’t be swimming in extra fabric and added weight.

Both sleeves are available three trademark Trina Turk satin fabrics - Ladybug, Crazy Botanical, and Zigzag. The 15” sleeve in this review is covered in my favorite, Zigzag. It has pretty blue-purple, gold, and black and white zigzags with black piping around the perimeter. Overall, the pattern has a hint of vintage style. The satin itself seems to be durable and water repellent  The construction, too, seems to be solid. I expect that this sleeve should last for quite some time.

In front, a bronze Trina Turk plaque adds a bit of bling. It looks great, but I’m not sure if the finish will resist scratches. The bronze theme continues with two stylized zipper pulls accented by matching T’s. The zippers are almost completely covered by black binding, giving it a very clean look. They work smoothly, too. I love the attention to detail on this sleeve!

In back, a large pocket on the back covers the entire back of the bag. Lined with microfiber, this pocket has a coordinating blue-purple color. There is plenty of room for a charging cord or external hard drive inside without making an unsightly bulge.

Inside, the the main compartment is lined with the same soft blue-purple microfiber over foam padding. This padding feels similar to memory foam. Though it does not offer heavy duty protection, this sleeve will save a laptop from many scratches and dings.

Overall, the Trina Turk 15” MacBook Pro sleeve is bold, colorful, and stylish. It has the quality, finish, and detail expected from a designer product, while being practical at the same time.
