Father's Day Tech Gift Ideas

Father's Day is now a less than week away. Do you need some gift suggestions for the gadget-loving dad? Read on for some great gift ideas!

The Nest thermostat is a great gift for the energy-conscious dad. In the first week after installation, you turn it up and down as you would with a regular thermostat. After about a week, however, the Nest learns your habits. If you forget to turn the temperature down before work, the Nest will "remember" that the temperature should be lower and will adjust itself. The Nest is available for $250.

My review of the AfterShokz bone conduction headphones can be found here.
For the dad who enjoys listening to music while exercising, AfterShokz bone conduction headphones are a safe way to do so. Because these bone conduction headphones do not cover up the user's ears or disrupt  natural hearing, the AfterShokz are a great choice for jogging, biking, and running. They are available for $60.

Is your dad a fan of 3D movies? These EX3D glasses might fit the bill. These stylish 3D glasses not only look better than the flat glasses at the theater, they have curved lenses that provide distortion-free viewing and reduce eye strain. Plus, EX3D glasses come in twelve modern styles. EX3D glasses start at $35.

  1. I was looking at the Nest thermostat. It’s a nifty little device that I think my dad would really like. He always has to have the latest tech, so I think it suits him. I bought him a Tailgater last year and from how much he talks about it, I think he likes it a lot. I’ve seen him use it while he was camping, tailgating at a football game, and even at our family barbeques. Last week he used it while we were at the park for my aunt’s birthday to show the Rockies game in HD. I took a few days off from my job at Dish just for it, too. I can’t begin to say how cool it was being able to watch my favorite sport while eating food fresh off the grill. So tech is his passion, and I think he’ll enjoy being able to change the house temp from work!
