Recompute: The Cardboard Computer
Here's a novel idea: a computer made out of cardboard. That's just what Recompute has done. The internals are not cardboard of course, but the case is made out of corrugated cardboard treated with non-toxic flame retardant. Although the case is not made of recycled cardboard per se, it eliminates one less piece of metal, making it more environmentally friendly. The Recompute has an AMD A8 quad-core processor, 8GB of RAM, and a 1 TB hard drive. It's available for $699 from Frys.com.
