Rest in Peace, Flip Video

Like other people on the tech blogosphere, I am surprised and saddened to see the Flip be discontinued. I think its simplicity changed the video camera market.

Here's my explanation of the Flip's greatness:

1. The Flip has a flip out USB to transfer your videos to your computer. No unwieldy cords to lose!
2. The Flip has a one-button approach to video taking. Just one button to press and start taking video.
3. The Flip has personality. If you buy your Flip from Cisco, you could design your own pattern (like mine above) or you could choose from many themes by designers.

I believe the Flip's simplicity would have continued to make the Flip the best selling camcorder. You will be missed, Flip.
